The appointee will be responsible for (a) conducting, coordinating and supervising research projects; (b) supervising research students and staff; (c) conducting and supervising data processing, data analysis, software design and development in research projects; (d) administrative tasks related to research; and (e) performing other departmental tasks as assigned. Duties include (a) undertaking research and development of deep learning classification, detection, and segmentation algorithms; (b) leading algorithm team for medical image analysis projects and key technical challenges, including setting up a technical plan, providing corresponding technical guidance, tracking project progress, and evaluating project effects; (c) participating in scientific research projects and encouraging the publication of high-quality image processing papers; and (d) supervising the Research Assistants of the project.
